What Does ABA Do for Individuals with Autism?

ABA utilizes individualized procedures to improve socially significant behavior.  In ABA, we break everything down into small parts, teaching a skill step-by-step.  We use positive practices by creating multiple opportunities to practice a new skill and providing reinforcement for appropriate behavior.  We collect data in order to track progress and make decisions.  ABA is used to help decrease problem behavior and improve skill acquisition such as language and socialization.

ABA In School

At FSBA, our expertise sets us apart. We are the home of many of Florida’s top education based BCBAs (Board Certified Behavior Analysts). We have many doctorate level practitioners in both ABA and Special Education, and many BCBAs dually certified as ESE teachers. Our wealth of experience and ability to draw on backgrounds in ABA and Exceptional Education provides FSBA the capacity to greatly impact children in the school environment. We happily work in tandem with many private schools, and this cooperative approach has produced amazing results.

ABA in Home

At FSBA we understand that communication and consistency is key to improving any child’s outcomes, regardless of environment. We seek to create this consistency by ensuring the ABA skills taught in school are generalized to the home, and vice-versa. We also provide services exclusively in-home.
