How long does it take to receive the results after the competency assessment and written exam?

Some supervisors provide immediate feedback, while others may take days or weeks to assess your performance.

For the written exam, results are available immediately at Pearson VUE testing centers. If the written exam is conducted through remote proctoring, the results may take up to 10 business days. Once both assessment parts are scored, official results from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) typically arrive within 5-7 business days. You'll be notified by email, and results can be accessed through your BACB account.

Congratulations if you pass both sections — you are now a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). If not, remember you can retake the assessment, as explained earlier. Consider this an opportunity to identify areas needing more review and preparation before your next attempt.
